From the streets of Tema to the world. Hip-hop's brightest voice from Ghana.
Born in Tema,
Built for the World
Emmanuel Kwesi Danso Arthur grew up in Tema Community 9, the second of four children. When a lack of funds halted his university dreams, he nearly took a job as a security guard — until music changed everything.
Discovered by Ghanaian rap legend Sarkodie, Kwesi Arthur released "Grind Day" in 2017 and never looked back. The track earned a co-sign remix from Sarkodie and Medikal, launching him to continental stardom. His 2020 record "Live From The 233" became one of the most-streamed African songs on Apple Music.
BET Awards nominated. Vodafone Ghana Music Awards winner. The artist they call Freeman — because he speaks truth freely, and music set him free.
